If you’ve ever bought a used or second hand car, you’ll know how boring it can be to read through the adverts. Writing a car advert can be a boring and laborious task, having to get all the key info in there, whilst trying to engage the reader into picking up the phone to come see the motor. At Motors, we see a lot of car adverts, so we thought we’d encourage you to be a bit more adventurous when it came to flogging your used car. And we’re going to start with the fairy tale.
Everyone dreams of their dream car – whether it be a top of the range Audi, straight from the production line, or a vintage Volkswagen Van. So why not sprinkle a little creative fairy dust onto your advert? Women are notoriously difficult to convince when it comes to making a large purchase such as a car, so why not entice them by spinning a tale of wonder, intrigue and magic?
You could place your used car at the centre of an epic quest. Perhaps you’re the prince that needs a reliable steed to help rescue the princess from the clutches of the evil witch? Or maybe it’s the family car that you use to conveniently transport your seven height-challenged companions around the woods (or to Tescos).
Perhaps your used car is a former pumpkin, transformed by a fairy godmother in order to get your post-makeover self to the ball? Or it might even be the carriage which can take you to the wedding of the year, between the prince and the princess of Far Far Away.
Making your used car advert stand out will help the sale of your car indefinitely. Amongst the dry and often dull descriptions, having a unique, and in this case, magical angle will make readers sit up and take note. So why not give it a go? Or come back next time when we’ll have even more imaginative ways to write the classified for your used car.
