Take a car that's at least nine years old to Citrn, and they'll give you at least £2k for it when you buy a new one
The Government is looking likely to introduce a cash for scrap scheme soon, to encourage owners of older cars to swap them from new or nearly-new ones.
Citrn, however, has jumped in now to promise £2000 on cars registered in 1999 or before. Any old cars taken will be scrapped. The car company will add the money to existing cashback deals, meaning that the cheapest C4 five-door family hatchback comes in at £7995 after discounts. Anyone looking for a small MPV can save £7500 on a Xsara Picasso hatchback – making it close to half-price.
The deal is available on C4s, C5s, C6s, C8s,C4 Picassos, Xsara Picassos and Berlingos, and is available until the end of this month, provided that the car is delivered and registered by the end of June.
