The New Year marks a new beginning, a chance to start afresh and to create change in your life so it’s no wonder that many of us dream of a new car to drive into the New Year with. Although it’s a great time to invest in a new vehicle - especially if your old one is on its last legs - there are certain cars that most of us won’t be able to afford this year, or maybe ever. Here’s the list of the cars we dream about. Ferrari 250 GTO
Perhaps the most beautiful vehicle ever made, sadly only 36 of this model were ever built. When it was first made, buyers had to be personally approved by Enzo Ferrari and they are now a collector’s item; in 1989 a 250 GTO was sold for $14.6 million. Bugatti Veyron Super Sports
The most expensive street-legal production car currently available, we just couldn’t leave this off our dream list. Reaches 60 mph in just 2.5 seconds, with a top speed of 267 mph, this car costs a whopping $2,400,000 but we feel it would be money well spent. Toyota Alessandro Volta
After the gas-guzzling monster at number 3, it seems only appropriate to put a more eco-friendly offering on our wish list. And not just any eco-friendly car either, the Alessandro Volta is a concept car featuring a hybrid electric engine with top speeds of 155 mph. It’s not easy being green, but this would certainly make it a lot more fun. The DeLorean
Although we could one day find a DeLorean sports car in our possession, we’re thinking of one very specific DeLorean when we put this on our wish list; the time machine from Back to the Future truly would be a dream car, but sadly it’s not to be.
What are your dream cars?
