Motors.co.uk iPhone app gains Top 5 ranking

Download that helps iPhone users hunt for their next car is proving a big, big successIn just three weeks since its launch, motors.co.uk’s iPhone app has proved a huge hit. Yesterday (Tues March 9) alone, 3200 iPhone users downloaded the app, which makes searching our used cars from your mobile so easy - and fast.

This makes us one of the most popular apps in our section of the iTunes store – ranking ahead of mobile phone operator 02, Flashlight, iHandy level and MirrorMirror – all massively popular apps.

As with motors.co.uk online, the app helps users find their ideal car by evaluating the vehicle against a list of chosen requirements. The application is called ‘motors.co.uk car search’ and is available in the ‘utilities’ iStore category. The app can also be found and downloaded by searching for ‘motors’ keyword in the app store and looking out for the famous motors.co.uk's Big Blue Wheel. The app will display details for up to 10 cars at once to enable users to compare vehicles as well as enabling users to create a shortlist of their favourite cars.

The motors.co.uk app is the latest in a series of developments from the website to tap into the popularity of new technologies to offer additional sales platforms to dealers who advertise on the site. Motors.co.uk recently launched a mobile site which enables buyers to contact dealers directly via their phones once their search results are displayed, helping dealers to reach more potential customers.
