It's due in the UK from June, costing an expected £17,000This is the Renault Wind, a new coupe-cum-drop-top that will compete head-on against Peugeot’s 207 CC. The new car will be unveiled to visitors to the Geneva motor show next month. Although it is based on Renault’s Twingo city car, it will boast its own cabin design, using kit and materials found in other Renaults higher in the range.

Where most other cars of its type use a hinged roof, this Renault’s pivots, borrowing from a Ferrari that drops its top. This offers the advantage that, unlike the 207 and others, the boot space remains the same regardless of whether the roof is up or down.

Renault hasn’t announced prices yet, but they are expected to start from around £17,000 when the car begins UK sale in June.
