The Volkswagen CC is an elegantly styled four door saloon, which is designed to recreate the looks of a coupe but offer more space and interior room.

The CC is also another Volkswagen to be offered in a range of different specifications and trims. We’ve picked three of the best, taking into account three different price points.

The smart choice for saving money – Volkswagen CC

Even the base CC has a huge amount of included technology, but remains the cheapest specification. On the outside, drivers will see sports suspension as well as bi-xenon headlights and 17-inch alloy wheels.

LED rear tail lights also sit at the back of the car, while a black gloss radiator give the CC a sporty look. Add into that chrome side window surrounds, and the CC is a truly premium looking car.

Inside, there a leather-trimmed three-spoke multifunction steering wheel which houses controls for the car’s audio system. It also comes with satellite navigation, Bluetooth telephone connectivity and DAB radio.

Given the incredible amount of equipment included, the CC’s on-the-road price of £24,475 marks excellent value.

The smart choice for those budget – Volkswagen CC GT Black Edition

The CC GT Black Edition incorporates even more technology than the base car. You’ll find adaptive damping control added, as well as a full Black Edition body kit. There’s also 18-inch alloy wheels with a unique design on each corner, and a fully electric tilting sunroof.

Drivers are treated to an interior trimmed in nappa leather, while the front seats are heated, too. Parking sensors make getting the CC into tighter spaces even easier as well.

Automatic headlights with daytime running lights feature on the Black Edition, as do white turn indicators mounted to the front bumper.

Replacing the chrome window surrounds, gloss black trim pieces now feature to give the Black Edition a stealthy, understated look. Black gloss mirrors with incorporated LED indicators.

Of course, the added equipment does bring with it an additional cost – with the CC GT Black Edition coming in at £29,490. However, given the amount of technology on offer, it represents a good deal for motorists.

The smart choice for technophiles – Volkswagen CC R-Line Black

The R-Line Black sits at the very top of the CC range, and offers an enormous amount of standard equipment and technology.

First and foremost, the greatest visual change to the CC comes in the form of a full R-Line styling kit. There’s also distinctive 18-inch ‘Talladega’ alloy wheels, and LED running lights. Even the front fog lights have been given the R-Line treatment, with a completely refreshed design over the rest of the range.

Inside, you’ll find full leather seats with contrast stitching, as well as cruise control and a full black roof lining. There’s also Volkswagen’s Multi Device Interface and navigation system, which allows drivers to control various types of media through the car’s system.

Two zone climate control will help keep driver and passengers comfortable, while a rear electric sunblind can help keep young children out of the sun’s harm.

Of course, sitting at the top of the range, the CC R-Line Black Edition does bring with it a price to match of £30,140. However, for button pressers, there’s no better option.
