Used Audi Q7

The Audi Q7 is a large luxury crossover SUV 4x4 and is the first SUV to be launched by Audi. It is a fine and distinctive looking car and one that you would be proud to drive. Audi always makes very stylish and classy looking cars and the Q7 is no exception. Its looks really do cut the mustard.

But the Audi Q7 is not just about looks, it is about performance too. Starting with the engines, there is a mighty 4.2 litre V8 petrol engine that delivers 345 bhp and will accelerate the car from 0 to 62 mph in just 7.4 seconds and a 3 litre V6 diesel which is designed for economy and will deliver 27 mpg.

For models manufactured after the start of 2009, there is also a 6.0 litre V12 twin turbo-diesel with a mammoth 500 bhp. This will accelerate the car from 0 to 62 mph in just 5.5 seconds and still deliver an average fuel consumption of 25 mpg - not bad for a car that weighs in at over two tonnes.

Naturally the car comes with Audi’s excellent four wheel drive system. On the open road the Q7 is supreme and handles very well, especially for such a large car. If you encounter poor terrain such as a ploughed field then at a push of a button you can raise the suspension.

The four wheel drive system used on the Audi Q7 is the famous Quattro system developed by Audi. It is one of the most sophisticated four wheel drive systems going and it is based on the Torsen differential. The system has been continuously developed and is now in its sixth evolution which has a much wider power distribution between the front and the rear increasing stability and electronic control.

The price tag for a new Audi Q7 is quite steep, reaching over £100,000 on some models, but fortunately as a used car it is substantially more affordable and there are plenty of good deals on this model for sale across the UK from approved Audi dealers, independent traders and private sellers. No matter where you are in the UK, Motors.co.uk could find a deal on a used Audi Q7 near you.
