Audi RS4

If you’re looking for a big fast Audi and the A4 doesn’t get you excited, the RS4 just might. It’s an absolute lunatic that goes like stink but looks totally normal. It’s definitely a Jekyll and Hyde type of car that can be perfectly practical and docile, but still has the ability to go for the jugular if the need arises. The RS4 is phenomenal and proves why Audi is a legend among automakers.

First made available in 2000, the RS4 is most known for being a super fast estate, as that was the only option you could get at the time. However since 2006 there’s a choice of saloon and cabriolet versions too. What this means is that it’s a car that meets a plethora of motoring needs, with insane performance at the top of the list.

While the RS4 looks just like any other Audi, you get the impression that it’s a more ‘fighty’ and aggressive car. Understated looks are all part of it, but the addition of some extra body work and a lower ride height are subtle differences that certainly make a difference. The inside is just as sumptuous and comfortable as a regular A4 with a lot of room, plenty of gadgetry and typically high quality trim.

The Audi is quite practical compared to other cars of its ilk, especially if you go for the estate version. On the road it’s just immense and there’s enough grip to move planets thanks to its Quattro 4 wheel drive system. There’s plenty of straight line speed, but in the corners it’s just as happy, and the steering makes you feel involved. The whole experience is excellent on the whole.

The RS4 is actually quite a rare auto to find second hand, but here at Motors.co.uk there’s a decent selection. With pre owned cars for sale you can save a whole heap of money and get incredible value, so a used Audi RS4 will always give you a huge amount of bang for your buck.

With the RS4 then you get a high performance car that’s easy to live with and a pleasure to drive on a daily basis. It provides a shed load of excitement when you put your foot down, but is also quite refined and practical. Whether you go for the estate or later generations of the saloon or convertible, you certainly won’t be disappointed. Reliable, versatile and supremely fast, it’s the perfect car for people who want the quality of Audi with a bomb on the side!
