Used Dodge

One of the most famous all American motoring companies is Dodge. With its own unique brand of huge autos in size and spirit, it’s one of the best selling derivatives of the Chrysler corporation. If you’re looking for a car to dominate the road, you can’t go wrong with a Dodge.

Originally founded in 1900 as the Dodge Brother Company in the most famous automotive city in the US (Detroit), the company only started creating its own cars in 1914 having previously been a supplier. Purchased by Chrysler in 1928, it has been a mainstay of the umbrella corporation ever since.

Early offerings were designed to compete directly with the might of the Ford Model T, and the Dodge Model 30 was a huge success. This acclaim was carried on into the 1920s and 1930s where the marque was an integral part of the Chrysler line up. The most notable era of Dodge’s history was the post war period where famous models such as the Charger, Custom, Coronet and Challenger were introduced. The former was particularly iconic thanks to its role on the Dukes of Hazzard.

Perhaps the most famous of all Dodge cars is the Viper, a monster V10 engined sports car that’s vicious in all aspects of style, attitude and performance. First released in 1992, the Viper has been at the forefront of American sports motoring ever since its conception and has won a legion of fans, in part thanks to its inclusion in famous video games. The second generation in particular with outlandish body paint and racing stripes was the focus of much attention.

Dodge is also famous for its range of trucks, pickups and SUVs. The Dodge Ram has been a best seller for over two decades thanks to its huge size, enormous engine and ‘big rig’ feel.

Thanks to the massive range of cars produced over the years, getting your hands on a second hand Dodge couldn’t be easier at Motors.co.uk. A diverse selection means there’s something for everyone, and those people after larger cars certainly won’t be disappointed.

If you’re desperate for a car that’s straight out of the US of A, a Dodge is your best option. For a rootin’ tootin’ good old time, there’s nothing better to drive!
