Used Kia Picanto

The Kia Picanto is a small city car that’s very affordable and is ideal for people looking to take on urban areas and come out on top. Yes it’s poky, but it also has bags of character and always wants to be driven. While other brands are relatively fussy, the Kia gets on with the job and represents incredible value for money.

The Picanto has been available since 2004 and has had several facelifts over the years. While earlier models were quite plain, newer ones certainly aren’t and have an angular futuristic look that could rival the likes of Ford. Inside there’s a lot of plastic but that’s only to be expected from a car that’s so cheap. Having said that though, it’s still comfortable and a relatively nice place to sit.

Despite being a ‘city car’ the Kia has 5 doors and is actually quite spacious; put the back seats down and a decent sized boot appears. The ride is comfy and the nippy handling mean you’ll have no trouble whizzing through the traffic or parking in tight spaces. The small engines are certainly economical, but you’ll have to rev them hard to get some speed which means out of town the Kia isn’t so hot. Despite this you get incredible levels of reliability, immense levels of safety, and a surprising amount of kit.

What you get with the Picanto then is a small budget car that’s all about keeping costs low, but one that punches well above its weight nonetheless. It’s a great alternative to some European or American brands that might come to mind.

You’ll have no trouble getting a great deal on a second hand Kia Picanto here at Motors.co.uk because there are loads available and the big discounts on brand new prices (which aren’t a lot) mean paying pennies is almost the norm. Why pay top dollar when you can save a shed load with used cars for sale?

The Kia Picanto is cheap, cheerful and exactly what you’d expect from the South Korean company. It’s small and easy to drive around cities, but the low costs mean it’ll be attractive to anyone from new drivers to families and even commuters. This mini motor really is excellent value for money.
