Used MINI One

The MINI One is the entry level MINI. This is a retro-styled hatchback that harps back to the age of the original Mini produced by British Leyland. Although the MINI One has retro look, that is as far as the similarity goes and the BMW built MINI One is a far more sophisticated vehicle than was the original.

The first generation MINI One was launched in 2001 and was an immediate success with its sharp looks and even sharper price tag. Generation two was launched in 2006 with a better engine line-up and additional safety features.

There is an excellent choice of engines which tend to focus on economy rather than raw performance, though they are still reasonably nippy. Later models also have stop start functionality. The most economical engine is the 1.6 litre diesel unit which returns a fuel economy of 72 mpg.

The original mini was a gas to drive and so is the MINI One. It is hugely responsive and there is very little body roll even under hard cornering. It is q great city car and ideal for nipping through gaps in the traffic and it is no slouch on the motorway either.

The MINI One is the perfect choice for a small car and you will find many of them for sale across the UK from approved MINI dealers, independent traders and private sellers. No matter where you are in the UK, Motors.co.uk could find a deal on a used MINI One near you.

If you are looking for a speedy MINI then you will need to look at the MINI Cooper S or the MINI John Cooper Works versions. These are equipped with turbocharged engines and the JCW version will deliver an acceleration time from 0 to 62 mph of around 6.1 seconds.
