Used Nissan Micra

The Nissan Micra has been around for a good many years but it is not really worth considering anything before 1992 when the second generation Micra was launched. This small car offers good performance and reasonable levels of refinement. It has a surprising amount of internal space, given its external dimensions and it is both reliable and economical. It is popular as a starter car.

A new generation Micra was launched in 2003 and this was a big improvement on previous versions. It is one of the best cars available in this class, boasting many advanced up to date features and offering excellent value for money. It is also very cheap to run.

There are some good engine options too and this is great car for getting around the town. There is good all round visibility, it is a great little car for negotiating in traffic and it is very easy to park. It will also handle rural roads and motorways without any problems, although if you are looking for a Micra for mainly out of town motoring, one of the more powerful petrol or diesel engines is recommended.

The latest Micra was launched in 2010 with an even more economical engine. This has a three cylinder 1.2 litre engine which develops 79bhp. There is the choice of a five speed manual gearbox or an automatic Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT).

Although it is primarily a city car, this has not stopped the Micra being used in motorsport. The first sports outing was in 1987 and it has also competed in the RAC rally. There have also been a number of rally events called Micra Challenge which have been held all over Europe.

The Nissan Micra is a very popular car and there are generally a huge numbers on sale throughout the UK from approved Nissan dealers, independent traders and private sellers. No matter where you are in the UK, Motors.co.uk could find a deal on a used Nissan Micra near you.
