You'd be surprised with the size of this people carrier - the 807 carries up to eight passengers - that the steering is light and sharp. Peugeot has made no attempt to disguise the size of this model, and should be approached with the right task in mind.

Peugeot 807

The Peugeot 807 is people carrier that does exactly what it says on the tin. With the ability to carry up to 8 people, it’s a fantastic solution for companies or families looking for a seriously practical MPV. With Peugeot’s typical approach to design, it has bags of character and you really get the feeling it wants to perform. It’s worth serious consideration, and represents excellent value for money.

Produced as part of the ‘Eurovans’ partnership, the 807 was part of the second generation of cars to come out of this automotive collective. With a production life that ran from 2002 to 2010, the aim was to make a more charismatic and approachable vehicle that was contemporary in design and involving to drive. Clearly it worked because sales figures were quite impressive in the mid 2000s.

The 807 is undeniably a Peugeot, but actually it’s more conservative than some models you’ll find these days, which isn’t a bad thing. It looks like a stereotypical people carrier, although the ‘frowning’ front grille and rear spoiler are interesting touches. The interior is just cavernous in proportion, but also comfortable and well thought out with an abundance of storage areas. With seating for 8 adults and several different layouts, it’s certainly a superbly designed option and really comes into its own on long journeys. Rear sliding doors, a good sized boot and generous equipment levels are other plus points.

Be under no illusions, the 807 isn’t a small car; in fact it’s massive. Despite this, it handles very well indeed and feels like something considerably smaller. The steering is light and sharp, and it’s surefooted in the corners, but there’s no question it excels as a motorway cruiser. Doing the weekly shop and getting the kids to school won’t be a problem at all as the ride is comfy and it’s OK in car parks. With a range of engines, it has to be said the diesels are most popular, but on the whole you get a solid amount of go and a lot of frugality.

Buying second hand is the best way to get hold of this car, and there’s no better place than right here at Motors.co.uk. A seriously large selection of pre owned cars for sale in addition to low prices mean finding a used Peugeot 807 is incredibly easy. For a car that offers so much, paying less and getting immense value for money is the only way to go.

What’s clear then is that the Peugeot 807 is a magnificent MPV that offers a huge amount of space, practicality and personality. It’s a serious contender for large families thanks to 8 seats and a sublime level of comfort. Despite the fact it’s no longer produced, the Peugeot continues to show the new generation how its done, and overall it gives you an incredible amount of bang for your buck.
