Used Porsche Cayman

Porsche has a reputation of doing the minimal amount of work possible but still managing to come up with something remarkably good. This could be the case with the Cayman, which is arguably just a Boxster with a roof, but if you look closer it’s actually more than that.

There’s clearly been an ‘if it ain’t broke then don’t fix it’ mentality at Porsche for some time, which is why countless generations of its cars look similar and perform to the same incredible standard. The Cayman certainly isn’t a deviation from the norm and has been a hugely popular member of a winning team since 2005.

The Caymen looks amazing both inside and out, which is typical of the German company. Much attention to detail has been paid, and you really can tell; just getting into the car, it’s immediately obvious what it’s all about. Genuinely comfortable and spacious, the Cayman is more of a GT car than an out and out speedster- you could drive it for hours and feel totally at ease.

While base models don’t have that much kit, it’s OK because the overall driving experience more than makes up for it. The ride is superb, and the handling is so responsive you can almost feel every little kink in the road. Several different engine sizes that range from 2.7 to 3.4 litres mean there’s more than enough performance to keep you on your toes. The Cayman S is a bigger, firmer and sportier option still, but all models seem more balanced and precise than the cabriolet Boxster.

Porsches are undoubtedly some of the most expensive autos around, and the Cayman really isn’t any different. Having said that, you can get one for less if you buy second hand and there’s a fantastic selection of used Porsche Cayman cars for sale at Motors.co.uk. You’ll be able to enjoy all the grandeur and prestige for a fraction of the cost, and that’s something special in itself.

So if you’re looking for a 2 seater coupe sports car that’s a lot of fun, looks amazing and never fails to get the adrenaline pumping, the Porsche Cayman should seriously be considered. It’s a fantastic coupe that carries on the great Porsche legacy with pride and always makes you feel on top of the world. A Boxster with a roof? Not a chance!
