Used Renault Laguna

French car companies really do know how to produce fantastic large family cars, and the Renault Laguna is a perfect example. It has been a flagship auto for many years, but newer models are awesome to say the least. Very practical, spacious and uniquely styled in the only way Renault knows how, it’s a car that’ll suit a wide number of drivers.

The Laguna has been on sale since 1993 and has spawned several generations, each one improving on the last and pushing the limit a bit further. It’s available in saloon, estate, hatchback and coupe form, which shows the immense versatility of the chassis. What this means is that it caters to a range of driving needs and excels at all of them.

Older models of the Laguna weren’t ugly to look at, they just weren’t pretty. This has changed dramatically however, and newer ones actually look like offshoots of Aston Martins if you squint. While the inside is stylish and comfortable, some of the gadgets have been rather ‘overdone’ and could confuse some people, but there’s an excellent level of kit across the different levels of trim.

There’s a good amount of breathing room and also a decent boot space all around, and this massively increases with the rear seats down, especially in the estate. The ride is noticeably firmer on more recent models, but not at all uncomfortable and the Laguna handles well in the corners as you’d expect from a front wheel drive car. While there are petrol and diesel engines available, don’t expect to reach warp speed as they aren’t particularly powerful, but they do give attractive economy ratings.

The fact that Renault cars are seemingly omnipresent these days means you can pick up some incredible discounts with second hand cars for sale. At Motors.co.uk there’s a huge selection, so finding a quality used Renault Laguna is very easy indeed. With big money off the norm, you’ll certainly get value for money on a car that’s crept up to the top end of the brand new price scale in recent years.

With the Renault Laguna then, you get a car that’s solid, practical, reliable and very versatile. Having been around for a number of years, it has adapted itself into the leader of the pack and newer models are phenomenal to look at and to drive. The Laguna is excellent for businesspeople or families looking for something easy to live with but nonetheless exciting.
