Used Rolls Royce

Rolls-Royce is one of the few car brands that are more than motoring icons. It is an all time great, a true legend and has been the definition of class, luxury and prestige for many years. To own a ‘Roller’ is to become part of an elite club and buy into an automotive philosophy where excellence is more than mandatory.

Rolls-Royce Limited was founded in 1906 and the 40/50 Silver Ghost was its first car. Right from the offset, the company garnered a reputation for elegance and power, with big engines being commonplace. However the Twenty was a deviation from this as it was a somewhat smaller, cheaper and more economical offering to suit post war economic conditions. This was followed by the Phantom.

Subsequent models such as the Phantom II, 20/30, Wraith, Silver Wraith and Silver Dawn would push the company to new heights, and part of this could be attributed to the acquisition of Bentley in 1931 as two of the greatest luxury car manufacturers in Britain would come together under 1 roof.

The famous ‘Spirit of Ecstasy’ figure would feature on further models that pushed the limits of luxury even further. The Silver Cloud in addition to the Phantom V and VI models were proof that Britain was still the world leader when it came to lavishness and extravagance.

The 1965 Silver Shadow was produced in the most numbers and was actually the first Rolls-Royce to use a monocoque chassis. After this, the company showcased its engineering talent with the Silver Spirit that included a big V8 engine, automatic ride height control and retractable Spirit figurine. The 1998 Silver Seraph would be the last car built by the original Rolls-Royce Limited company, but it made sure of a grand finale.

The modern variants are made by Rolls-Royce Motor Cars that was founded in 1998 and carried on the superb legacy of the original organisation. Producing the awesome Phantom in 2003 that is still the benchmark for luxury cars, followed by the Phantom Drophead Coupe, Phantom Coupe and subsequent Ghost, there’s no denying that the ‘Spirit of Ecstasy’ still flies high and proud.

It should come as no surprise that brand new Rolls-Royce cars are some of the most expensive around. After all, if everyone could afford them the stature and exclusivity of the marque would be tainted and its appeal lost.

Despite this, buying a used Rolls-Royce from Motors.co.uk can save you a significant amount of money and allow you to drive away in your new chariot in no time at all, which is much better than spending years on a waiting list; just some of the benefits of used cars for sale.

The plain fact is that Rolls-Royce is the best of the best and has been for many years. If you’re looking to ride in luxury, there’s simply nothing better out there. Join the elite and experience the very best of British motoring!
