Seat Altea XL

The Seat Altea is one of the most popular people carriers around, but for those people who want that little bit extra, the Altea XL is the ideal choice. It’s basically an oversized version of the original that gives a lot more cabin and boot space for a similar sort of cost. It’s excellent value for money then, and large families would struggle to find something better.

The Altea XL was introduced in 2006 and has gone straight to the top of the popularity charts. It’s 19 centimetres longer than the original, and while that might not sound like much, it results in a much more spacious interior and a larger boot space- both of which are crucial for family motoring. More of a compact SUV than an MPV, it’s a 5 door beast that has a lot to shout about. There’s even a Freetrack 4x4 version that’s the definition of weird and wonderful.

Seat cars are known for being incredibly stylish, and this one is no different. It’s got a wealth of lovely curves, sharp lines and huge windows. Some smiling front headlights and that small font grille give it a surprised look, and really it’s very friendly and approachable. The inside is obviously spacious, but it also has a great build quality, although there’s a lot of hard plastic. Everything is within reach and quite durable to use, and some great features include roof mounted screens and connection ports for headphone and other devices. There’s a massive amount of kit, and the extra boot space makes it nice and practical. Overall it’s modern, comfortable, well finished and accommodating.

For sure the XL looks sporty, but it also drives the same way. In fact it’s one of the best people carriers to take out on the road. Responsive steering, a firm but fair ride quality and a shed load of grip makes it seriously good fun. Motorways, back roads and towns pose no problem, and actually you relish any chance you get to climb aboard and go. There are loads of different engines to choose from, with turbocharged diesels and petrols being particularly exciting. Great performance and surprising fuel economy make it unbelievably good value.

Listing thousands of different used cars for sale, Motors.co.uk is certainly your one stop shop for incredible bargains. Not only are prices some of the lowest around, but you also get the added bonus of an uncompromising approach to quality. What this means is that you’ll pay less for something that’s almost like new, and getting a second hand Seat Altea XL for nowhere near as much of the cost is everyone’s idea of a seriously good deal.

So all in all, the Altea XL is a wonderful option for large families to check out. You get all the plus points of the original with a heap load more space, and this means daily motoring is easy, long journeys are straightforward and ultimately everyone can be happy on the move. Practical, stylish and very economical, it’s a sure fire winner. You must buy this car!
