Audi S6
As with all performance cars from Audi’s tuning division the S6 looks unassuming but is thunderously powerful and a real beast to get behind the wheel of. Unlike higher spec cars from other brands, there’s very little to distinguish the S6 from the A6 in terms of design. The addition of some extra badges and some subtly aggressive bodywork are all you get, but this is by no means a bad thing because it’s pretty stunning to begin with. Quite a long car, it features some nice curves and quite a sleek profile. It’s the same story inside as well to be honest, although there is a nice carbon fibre trim. However similar it might be though, there’s no question that the Audi is spacious, comfortable and very well equipped. The boots are a good size too, especially in the estate.
You don’t have to be a genius to work out that the S6 is awesome out on the road. It has power beyond comprehension thanks to a massive 5.2 litre V10 in newer models, and this’ll take you from 0-60mph in 5 seconds with a (limited) top speed of 155. You get the impression that it had to be reigned back quite a lot because unchained it could probably take off and fly. Incredibly precise and direct steering means it’s easy to control, and the Quattro system provides insane levels of grip. You an easily push hard and it won’t bite, which is a blessing in disguise for most people, however ambitious or confident.
It’s quite expensive as you might have gathered, but second hand ones are more than affordable for people with the money. While the oldest generations might be buyable for regular people in this form, the supreme thirst of the engine might prove too much.
