Ford Cougar
The Ford Cougar is a large family coupe with a definite stylish feline look about it. Despite its rather low profile, it’s got quite a lot of interior space, a whole heap of equipment and a very sporty demeanour. The Cougar really is a lot of fun to drive, and is as agile, nimble and speedy as the animal it’s named after. A massive amount of grip in the corners means you can drive with confidence and the responsive handling lets you go exactly where you want. While the ride is rather firm at regular speeds, it’s nicely balanced at speed and tackling country roads, car parks, urban areas and even motorways can be done with gusto. Despite not being a real sports car, the Ford comes with some engines that aren’t lacking in performance; the 2.5 litre V6 in particular is exciting and does the chassis and setup justice.
