Used Ford Ka
The Ford Ka was first launched in 1996 and started quite a revolution; nothing quite like it had been seen before. Now of course the Ka is quite common and a new version was launched in 2008. Interestingly the original avant garde looks have survived the test of time and still look very up to date; in fact some of the Ka’s features have been emulated by other manufacturers in their designs.
Fundamentally, the Ka is a small inexpensive car that is economical to run. Despite this, it is fun to drive and performs surprisingly well. Despite its small size, it has been designed to be surprisingly spacious inside the cabin and there is room for a reasonable amount of luggage in the boot.
With the 2008 model came a number of updates. Comfort levels have been improved and the interior is more sophisticated. There is a choice available of two engines, which include a 1.2-litre petrol unit that has 69 bhp. That is plenty of power for a town car but the real upside is the fuel economy, which is around 55 mpg. There is also a diesel engine, the 1.3-litre TDCi, which, at 75 bhp, is a little more powerful and even more economical, with a fuel consumption of 67 mpg.
The Ka handles well and is great in town and very easy to drive and park. Although it is not the ideal choice as a motorway cruiser, it handles just fine, even at speed. It is also surprisingly aerodynamic in windy conditions.

The Ford Ka has four trim levels currently called Studio, Edge, Zetec and Titanium. Even the entry level Studio includes power steering, plus driver and passenger airbags, and a quality sound system.
