The Korean-built Hyundai Coupe has been a popular make and model in the UK due to its sleek features and curvaceous styling. It’s a mix between the Ford Mustang and Ferrari, and has earned the title of ''budget'' sports car.
Hyundai is a group of companies founded in South Korea in 1947, and their Motor Company division is amongst the world’s largest automobile manufacturers. Entry-level models get a 103bhp 1.6-litre engine, mid-range variants come with a 141bhp 2.0-litre, while the range-topper has a 162bhp 2.7-litre V6. Whilst the smaller engine versions have been criticised for being a little sluggish when compared to the car’s sporty brand image, the V6 version is unlikely to leave any speed freaks disappointed.
The Hyundai Coupe SIII altered the appearance of the car in several ways; the headlights are thinner and the interior is updated with brushed aluminum accents, new blue backlight scheme for gauges and instrumentation and new seats.
Hyundai have more recently introduced the limited, special edition TSIII. The upgraded specifications included quilted leather interior with embroidered logos, stiffer sports suspension, quad exhaust exit pipes, a higher level rear spoiler and an anthracite finish to the alloy wheels.
