Ligier was unable to compete with well established brands and demand for its cars slipped. Ligier has a famous history in Formula 1 with a successful team that competed from 1976 to 1996. With 9 race victories and 50 podiums, it was able to mix it with the big boys of the era and demonstrate the quality of French engineering.
Fine examples of Ligier super minis include the JS6 from 1984 and modern day Ixo line. These days the brand also produces a range of small vans and commercial autos in addition quad bikes and electric buggies.
