Watford
Watford is a town in Hertfordshire that also gives its name to the borough that surrounds it. Positioned to the north west of London, it’s also south of Luton and is home to about 80,000 people. In total, Watford has 5 twin towns that include Mainz in Germany, Nanterre in France and Novgorod in Russia.
The area in general has a lot of Anglo Saxon history, but Watford remained quite a small agricultural settlement until the advent of the Industrial Revolution. Home to a variety of parks and cultural attractions, the local football and rugby clubs, Watford F.C and Saracens, are based at the Vicarage Road Stadium.
As a matter of fact, Watford is actually a great area for motorists because it combines brilliant motorway links to the M25 with a close proximity to the capital, and also has a fantastic amount of countryside on its doorstep.
