This lovely little car, born in 1939 is a proper 'wartime baby' and is particularly poignant as we commemorate the 70th anniversary of D-Day. Recently purchased from an elderly customer reducing his private car collection hence the photographs, further photos will be posted as soon the car arrives with us. Finished in deep gloss black with full red trim, complimented by a black soft top and side screens. A full ground up restoration was carried out around 2500 miles ago. The meticulous restoration was undertaken over several years and was completed by the latter part of 1997. This lovely old classic is in near concours condition - astonishing for its 75 years on this planet. The extras include over mats, side screens, side wind deflectors plus a wonderful badge bar adorned with period badges. The history folder contains the original operation manual for this car, previous warranty certificate, previous and current V5's, DVLA related documentation, MoT related paperwork, exhibitor's literature from various shows and MoT certificates dating from 1997, confirming that the car has travelled only 2500 miles since then until now. Also included are invoices, correspondence and envelopes and write ups on the Morris Eight. Also included in the history folder is the British Motor Industry Heritage Trust certificate No 95/8071 which shows the vehicle's date of production to be 21-27th July 1939, the date dispatched was 31st July 1939 and the date of sale in West Sussex in August, 1939. This archive certificate also proves that the car still has all numbers matching and confirms that the original registration number FBP 426 remains on the car to this day. This super little car is a small piece of history in the motoring world.
