Dartford
Dartford is an old market town that’s found in northern Kent. South east of London, the population figure is in the region of 87,000- the majority of people being commuters to the Greater London area as a whole.
While it does have a long history going as far back as the Stone Age, possibly the most famous thing about the area these days is the Dartford Crossing over the River Thames. Made up of the Queen Elizabeth 2 bridge for southbound travel and tunnels for traffic going northbound, it essentially connects Essex with Kent on the M25.
The town’s name was actually created by the Romans, who needed to cross the River Darent in order to complete a major road. In the Middle Ages, it served as a stop off for people on the way to Canterbury, and was even in control of the Knights Templar. Over the years it has been an agricultural centre, a brewing town, a paper producer and even associated with mustard production.
With great road connections all around the town and wider borough in general, the Dartford area is very good indeed for motorists. Head south and there’s a great deal of countryside to explore; it’s a similar story once you escape the built up areas to the north as well. Positioned quite well, a whole load of places are within range, and you can turn your hand to motorways or quiet back roads with no trouble.
The great thing about Motors.co.uk is that it services all of Britain, so everyone can find a brilliant used car bargain. However there’s an excellent array of second hand cars for sale in Dartford, neighbouring towns and counties. The price discounts, huge overall selection and superb quality all combine to make it a hall of wonders for the best deals around. You really can get more for so much less.
