Dewsbury
Located in West Yorkshire, Dewsbury is situated to the east of Huddersfield and south of Leeds. An old mill town, it’s in the borough of Kirklees in the heart of the Pennines. With a population figure of about 55,000, it has become a somewhat popular commuter town in the last few years.
An important parish in Saxon times, the Dewsbury Minster is still a focal point of the town today. Important landmarks include the local market (seen as one of the best in Britain), museum and park. A range of sporting clubs exist, such as the Dewsbury RLFC rugby team, and various different football clubs.
