Mercedes CLC
The Mercedes CLC is a compact luxury coupe that features some wonderful designs, a comfortable interior and a good driving experience. It’s great for those people who want luxury but not a great deal of size, and also has an impressive kit list. With a pert rear end and some elegant exuberance, it’s really a sexy car, despite being short lived.
Essentially a C-Class coupe that’s been put on a diet and loaded up with a few extras, the Mercedes was produced between 2008 and 2010. Armed with some punchy engines, including a 3.5 litre V6, that sport ‘BlueEFFICIENCY’ and ‘Kompressor’ technology, it’s certainly a sporty run around that can easily turn heads. Aimed at the likes of the BMW 3 Series hatchback and Audi A3, younger buyers in particular would get the most out of the CLC.
Unquestionably good looking, the Merc definitely became more toned and aggressive over its life. Sharp lines, an angular front and quite a bit of rake made it look very performance hungry indeed. The interior is beautifully designed and features some sharp colour schemes and wonderful materials. It’s clearly very high quality, and everything from the alloy lined dash to the comfortable seats put it in the luxury category. Spacious in the front and quite tight in the back, the boot is adequate for shopping. You get a great amount of equipment, especially in Sport trim.
The CLC is easy to drive, responsive and sticks to the road like glue thanks to its balanced chassis. If you want the most amount of fun, go for the Sports versions which are much more athletic. It’s just a really nice car to be out on the road in, and all the engines provide a good kick. The 350 with its V6 engine is especially good.
