Mitsubishi Grandis
With 7 seats, some sharp styling and good levels of equipment, the Mitsubishi Grandis is one fantastic MPV. It’s an ideal solution for families who want something practical and functional with a solid build quality and Mitsubishi’s trademark engineering excellence. This car won’t let you down, and it’s a great alternative to the regular people carriers you see on the road.
Produced between 2003 and 2011, the Grandis was popular around the world and won several different international awards. It was also well thought of in the UK and saw some solid sales figures. The 5 door, 7 seat MPV was excellent value for money and that was one of the reasons people enjoyed it so much- a quality product from a reputable brand for quite a low price.
The Grandis looks quite futuristic with its pointy nose and angular profile, and is actually one of the most stylish people carriers out there. The good designs are also carried over to the inside, which is nicely finished with some good materials, ergonomic dashboard and huge kit list. Comfortable seats and a lot of interior space mean long journeys don’t pose an issue, although it has to be said the rearmost are only suitable for small children. In terms of practicality, the Mitsubishi is quite good- there are loads of storage areas in the cabin, and in 5 seat mode the boot is massive, although it’s tiny in regular mode which is disappointing.
For quite a large car the Grandis drives quite well and feels much smaller than it is. While there’s not much sensitivity through the steering, cruising around town and parking is relatively easy. It holds the road well at speed, so motorway cruising can be ticked off the list too. A few engines are available, with the 2.0 litre diesel being the pick up the lot in terms of overall performance and fuel economy.
While the Mitsubishi hasn’t been out of production for that long, there are still some top quality deals to be had in the world of used cars for sale. You’ll notice the vast number of listings here at Motors.co.uk, in addition to impressive price reductions, and that means getting a great deal on a used Mitsubishi Grandis couldn’t be easier. Paying less for a car that offers quite a lot is the definition of a good deal.
The Mitsubishi Grandis then is good all round MPV that looks great, has a lot of interior space and most importantly those 7 seats. It’s easy to drive on an everyday basis and is actually great value for money. An ideal option for family motoring, it’s another sensible choice to consider from the land of the rising sun!
