In years gone by, Vauxhall hasn’t really attacked the SUV market with as much vigour as some others. With the Antara however, it has something which not only performs exceptionally well but also draws some attention away from popular established brands. The interior is just as good, and there’s no getting away from the high quality as everything from the dash to the stitching is finished exceptionally well. With a lot of cabin space, room for 5 people and a decent sized boot, it’s certainly got all the right characteristics.
In terms of being out on the road, the Antara handles well and has a good amount of poise to it. With a decent amount of grip in the corners, you also get some quite responsive steering which means overall it’s easy to handle. The ride is comfortable, but isn’t really suited for anything other than tarmac or dirt roads at best. With several different diesel or petrol engines to choose from, there’s a decent amount of power on offer too.
