Vauxhall Vectra Club
The Vauxhall Vectra Club is a popular version of this long running motor that’s available as a saloon or estate and seems to do everything right. It’s well designed, decently equipped and good to drive, and you also get the benefit of strong safety and reliability scores. Always keen to get out on to the road, previous models were accused of being boring, but this one certainly isn’t. Nicely modern, it’s a good option for families or even executives who want a good, affordable all rounder. Engines on the Club include 1.8 litre petrols and 1.9 litre diesels, so there’s definitely some punch, as well as fuel economy.
The Vauxhall Vectra Club looks good and features a sloping profile and some sharp lines from the outside. Inside it’s nicely roomy, quite bright and seems to be well constructed, although the centre console layout is a bit confusing. Boot space is a practical 500 litres. In terms of equipment, you’ll note air con, alloys, alarm, body coloured bumbers, CD stereo, cloth seats, airbags, electric windows, front fog lights, service indicator and a great deal more. It’s easy to handle out on the road and corners well, especially on back roads. You’ll pay £5,000 used.
