What you get with the Volkswagen Golf Plus is a taller and more spacious version of the original car. The steering has a good feel to it, and the balance is spot on, which means cornering isn’t a problem at all. A comfortable ride means it can take on even the worst British roads, and it’s so easy to park thanks to a range of sensors and good visibility; towns and car parks can easily be ticked off. There’s an impressive array of engines too, including a turbo charged 1.4 litre petrol and 2.0 litre turbo diesel.
