Lowestoft

Lowestoft is a seaside town situated on the east coast of the county of Suffolk. Twinned with Plaisir in France, the town is home to about 65,000 individuals and is actually the most easterly point in the UK.

Situated north east of London and south east of Norwich, the town grew up as a fishing settlement, but later became an important port and coastal resort. Indeed the picturesque scenery, piers and pristine beaches certainly qualified it to be the latter.

Due to the expansion of oil and gas proliferation in the North Sea during the 1960s and 70s, Lowestoft became a vital support and industrial centre, however today it is more oriented towards services and renewable energy in particular.

Some notable features in the town include the Claremont and South Piers, Pleasurewood Hills Theme Park, Lowestoft Airshow, and also landmarks including the lighthouse. With 2 football clubs, a cricket club and a large leisure centre, it’s clear there’s never any shortage of things to do.

Suffolk is a good county for motoring in general due to the sheer volume of open countryside. Lowestoft’s position on the cost means it’s not difficult to find some quality seaside roads, and heading further inland there’s the Broads to take in as well. Superb connections to other towns, and a fairly direct route to London means almost anywhere is accessible.

Without doubt, Motors.co.uk is one of the best websites for used cars for sale in UK. Not only does it boast an almighty selection, but the standard of vehicles available is amazingly high. It’s so easy to come face to face with hugely impressive deals on second hand cars in Lowestoft, and uncovering an auto that meets your needs is as simple as a few mouse clicks and a test drive.
