Maserati Quattroporte

Maserati cars are all about the highest levels of luxury. While the company is arguably most famous for its line of big GT cars, it is by no means a one trick pony. The Quattroporte is the perfect example of what else the Italian marque has to offer; it’s a luxury executive saloon with undeniable sporting pedigree. Why consider anything else when you can have a Maserati?

The Quattroporte badge goes way back to 1963, and there have been a multitude of new models over the years. The common theme between them all is a commanding muscular presence, and newer versions in particular look the business. With the famous trident badge on the front, you get a sense that something great is about to happen.

Inside and out there’s an element of sexiness about the Maserati, but the unmistakable sense of class and prestige shines through. The cabin is sumptuous and adorned with quality materials and an impressive amount of equipment, although there are rather a lot of buttons. It’s a genuinely comfortable place to be, thanks in part to a huge amount of space, and this means you feel like royalty behind the wheel. Also it’s quite practical with a decent sized boot that can accommodate the likes of golf clubs, luggage and shopping with no trouble.

Maseratis are renowned for their sublime driving experiences, and the Quattroporte doesn’t disappoint. It handles very well indeed thanks to a good balance and clever engineering, and the ride is supple and poised. While it’s a fairly large car, it has the characteristics of the brand’s beloved GT autos, which makes it a pleasure.

All the quality and prestige means Maseratis are by no means cheap, however if you turn your attention to pre owned cars for sale, there’s an immense amount bargains available. Motors.co.uk has a fantastic selection of literally thousands of listings to choose from. With some impressive price reductions, a used Maserati Quattroporte is more than within reach for considerably less of the cost.

So with the Quattroporte you get a fantastic 4 door saloon that looks the part, has massive performance and drives incredibly well. It’s certainly testament to the Maserati name and proves that the Italian brand isn’t afraid to come out of its comfort zone. In the sports saloon niche, there’s certainly no shortage of established greats, and the Quattroporte can sit proudly among them. A truly magnificent motor.
