Allegedly designed to attract a younger crowd back to Toyota, the GT86 is sleek and fast with it. The exterior is easy on the eye and when stationary the engine noise is perfectly acceptable. Likened to a Porsche Cayman, we'd recommend searching the GT86 online at Motors.co.uk now. Read our expert Toyota GT86 review to find out more.

Toyota GT86

The Toyota GT86 is a long-awaited and genuine sports car from Toyota, launched in 2012.

Although not purely a Toyota - it was developed in collaboration with a Subaru - the GT86 has done a great deal to build the marque's reputation for producing adrenalin-pumping cars that are genuinely exciting to drive.

As all sports car purists demand, the Toyota GT86 has rear wheel drive powered by a surprisingly peppy 2L engine delivering around 197bhp.

There are a number of features that make the car feel especially responsive to drive; the flat four engine gives the car a low centre of gravity, while the comparatively narrow tyres tend to make every ridge and road imperfection easy for the driver to sense.

There's a choice of both manual and automatic gearboxes. Although, as a self-proclaimed driver's car, the former is a more popular choice than the latter as it allows you to really get the most of the super-responsive engine.

Unlike many sports cars, reliability shouldn't be an issue as both Toyota and Subaru have excellent reputations in this respect.

If you're looking to experience this smooth, sultry ride for yourself you'll find the widest selection of used Toyota GT86 cars at Motors.co.uk. Just tell us what price range you'd like to consider and where you're based, and you'll receive comprehensive listings in your area.
