TVR Tuscan

The TVR Tuscan is one of those cars that people can’t help but stare at. Not only does it look jaw dropping, but the noise it makes it enough to send them into a state of nirvana. A truly mental car in all regards, it’s immense to get behind the wheel of and the adrenaline starts pumping as soon as you turn the key. This car is one of the most dramatic around, and it’s worth its weight in gold on the ‘fun factor’ alone!

Produced from 1999 to 2007, one of the best things about the Tuscan is that it’s British. Available first in coupe and later cabriolet forms, possibly the defining thing about this car is the ‘Speed Six’ range of engines which are phenomenally powerful. Ranging from 3.6 to 4.0 litres, the top of the line one produces 400 horse power, has a top speed of 195 mph and can roar from 0-60mph in a mere 3.8 seconds. Clearly it’s quite the fire breathing chariot then.

The exterior design is mad with an almost insect like set of headlights, a bonnet with lumps and bumps akin to the Himalayas, and a front grille that looks like it’s been peppered with a large (but very accurate) machine gun. The coupe version is elegant, while the cabriolet just exudes class and prestige. You might not think it’s possible, but the inside is even crazier, and is among the best ever in terms of style; spectacular is an understatement, it’s simply out of this world. Comfortable seats, a decent amount of space, and an amazingly futuristic cockpit make it a lot of fun.

Few cars make real divers snigger and grin like an idiot, but the Tuscan is one of them. The driving experience is legendary and infamous for some. The sheer acceleration keeps you pinned to the seat, the noise of the engine blows your hearing and the astronomical speed is enough to make you scream out loud. While the ride isn’t the softest in the world, the steering is super fast and responsive (by necessity) and throwing it around corners is a true test of nerve, but is nonetheless fun. Sure, you might get out broken into pieces, but it’s all worth it.

There’s no way that regular folk could afford this car- realistically it’s just on another planet for most people. Although prices aren’t what they once were, it’s the running cots and insurance that’ll mount up. Those individuals with the cash however can really go to town and find some awesome bargains at Motors.co.uk. One of the premier places for used cars for sale, price reductions and a superb attitude to quality means you’ll really come away with the bargain of your dreams in a second hand TVR Tuscan.

With the TVR Tuscan then, you get a mind warping car that’s not for the faint hearted. Simply beautiful in terms of design and a real engineering masterpiece in terms of performance, you’ve got to be on the ball because it’s a feisty beast. There really aren’t enough words to express how good this car is. Basically, if you’re looking to go fast in style and need an adrenaline kick every 5 minutes, this is the car for you.
