Used Volvo XC60

Volvo has a habit of releasing incredible SUVs and the XC60 is no exception. It looks amazing, is packed full of quality kit and is fantastic to drive. Arguably one of the best Volvos ever made, the company has certainly gone all out and it definitely shows. For a typically Scandinavian take on a mid size SUV motoring that’s different to everything else, there’s no better choice.

The XC60 is one of the new breed of Volvos and was released in 2008. It’s smaller than the XC90, but just as good and even better in some cases. Armed with Volvo’s trademark approach to safety, a supremely furbished interior and a range of engines that are powerful yet quite economical (especially the 2.4 litre D4 diesel), it really does take the spotlight away from some competitors.

You’ll soon find that the XC60 is supremely practical too thanks to a huge boot, space in the back for 3 adults and all around vision which makes parking so much easier. Add to that a very comfortable ride and responsive handling, and it’s easy to see why it’s so popular. While other cars just seem to have things for the sake of it, every detail has been specifically considered and is there for a reason.

An important quality that SUVs must have is an ability to venture off road, and the XC60 certainly does. While you won’t be able to climb every mountain or ford every stream as that’s really not what it was designed for, there’s certainly enough punch in the 4 wheel drive system to get into the wild. It’s as happy cruising around town as it is rumbling along dirt tracks.

The XC60 sounds like a great car, but when you come to the issue of price it’s a bit steep, albeit cheaper than its rivals. You can still save a shed load buying second hand and there are loads of used Volvo XC60 cars available here at Motors.co.uk. Pre owned autos offer supreme value for money, so dive in and take a look.

The mid sized SUV market is saturated with cars that are very much alike. The Volvo XC60 offers something completely different and combines stunning visuals with a great driving experience, and an unrivalled approach to safety. It’s just a fantastic all rounder that makes driving a real experience.
