The first Ford Focus appeared in 1998 as a replacement for the very popular Ford Escort and when it hit the forecourts, it was quite a revolutionary car. We are now into our third generation of the Focus and there have been a large range of alternative styles and levels of performance.

The second generation Focus was introduced in 2004 as three or five door hatchback and as a four door saloon. It was noticeably larger than its predecessor, making it very popular with families.
Various engines, in both petrol and diesel were available whilst thrill seekers usually opted for the Ford Focus ST. With a 225 bhp engine capable of a maximum speed of 152 mph, held the record for the fasted hot hatchback until 2009, when it’s younger brother, the 300 bhp, 162 mph Ford Focus RS hit the road.
The third generation Focus was introduced in 2010. This has been restyled and has an improved interior. These models have also introduced some fuel saving features however there are no three or four door versions, just a five door hatchback.
Because the Ford Focus comes in so many different styles, engines and trims, it is a car that has huge appeal. It has plenty of street credibility and is loved by a people across the motoring spectrum – from families through to hot hatch enthusiasts.
