  • Adjustable front seats allow for the best view.

Safety

  • Five-star safety rating from Euro NCAP.
  • 94% adult occupant rating, but only 80% child occupant rating.
  • Available dashcam system gives added protection.

Technology

  • Hi-res digital gauge display is easy to read.

Volkswagen Polo generations

Volkswagen Polo

The very first Polo hit the roads in 1975, right after the Mark 1 Golf achieved success. The original car had a 2,335 mm wheelbase, making it smaller than the current Volkswagen UP!. Now in its sixth generation, the Polo is one of the brand's longest-running models. Throughout the years, special edition and high-level trims such as the Polo GTI and the Dune have earned a lot of attention.

Sixth Generation (2018 to Present)

The latest generation rides on the MQB A0 platform, offering more boot space and interior room. It also has more safety features, such as traffic sign recognition and frontal collision detection.

A facelift in 2021 added more digitalisation and advanced innovations with a fresh design. IQ.LIGHT matrix LED headlights were added to the front, while IQ.DRIVE Travel Assist became available on higher trims.

With the fifth generation of the Polo came larger, more practical dimensions. Despite the increase in size, the car became 7.5% lighter overall, making it better to drive and more efficient. It also featured cleaner lines for a stand-out appearance.

The sporty hatchback came equipped with a touchscreen satnav and a seven-speed DSG gearbox, showcasing its modern design. It was so well-received that in 2010, it won the World Car of the Year award.
