If you’re in the market for a car that’s electric-powered, sporty and luxurious, then a used Porsche Taycan is a great choice. It's just as fast as you would expect a Porsche to be, and it has a stylish appearance and a comfortable interior. It also has a long driving range and charges quickly, making it an excellent choice for zero-tailpipe-emission travel.

Porsche offers the Taycan in several models, all designated by the powertrain configuration. These are known as the base Taycan, 4S, Performance, Performance Plus, Turbo, Turbo S and Turbo GT. Numerous premium features are already included in the Taycan models without any upgrades. However, customers – especially audiophiles – should look out for either the Bose or Burmester 3D upgraded sound systems.

A hybrid model of the Taycan wasn't offered before it was released as an EV. Porsche only built the Taycan with an electric configuration, even though the company had been known for its solid hybrid options.
With electric cars, every model relies on an automatic gearbox to provide instantaneous torque to the wheels, including the Taycan. Because there's instant access to 100% of peak torque and no shifting involved, the car accelerates much faster than a conventional petrol- or diesel-powered car.
Yes, the majority of Porsche Taycan models have standard four-wheel drive, including the Taycan. The only one that comes with a rear-wheel drive configuration is the base Taycan, which are not as popular.
