About the Mercedes-Benz CLA
The CLA is only available as a classic coupe. The CLA is supposed to be a fun and stylish subcompact executive car. There are not multiple body styles - the CLA knows exactly what it is. It’s a perfect car for completing the morning commute in style, comfortable, and it’s a blast to drive. In terms of practicality, it’s decent enough for a small family. Obviously, as a coupe, it isn’t intended to be a proper family car. Overall, the Mercedes-Benz CLA is a phenomenal coupe that adds some much-needed variety to the executive car class.
What you can expect to find in a Mercedes-Benz CLA
The Mercedes-Benz CLA Class is available in 8 different trims: The entry-level AMG Line, AMG Line Premium, AMG Line Premium Plus, AMG CLA 35, AMG CLA 35 Premium, AMG CLA 35 Premium Plus, AMG CLA 45 S 4MATIC+, and the range-topping AMG CLA 45 S 4MATIC+ Plus. It’s worth noting that Mercedes-Benz ‘trims’ are really ‘model lines’. However, even on entry-level trims, you can opt to add in some packages that may come as standard on a more expensive model line. As such, there’s plenty of customisation, and even the cheaper trims come packed with some fantastic equipment.
- 18-inch alloy wheels
- LED headlights
- Leather steering wheel
- Wireless phone charging
No one considers a Mercedes a sensible, practical purchase. That’s not to say that the car isn’t a smart buy. The driving experience is about as good as you’d expect. The Coupe excels on the motorway, where it offers some seriously comfortable cruising. However, the car is also excellent in the city, and its agile handling makes it a brilliant car for the morning commute. With the German brand's reputation being one of high quality, it’s not surprising to see the CLA Class packed with some truly incredible tech. It’s vital to the Mercedes-Benz image that the CLA Class has features that easily compete with other premium competitors.
- MULTIBEAM LED Headlights with auto-leveling
- 19-inch alloy wheels
- Panoramic sunroof.
- Keyless entry
- Dual zone climate control
In terms of design, the Mercedes-Benz CLA is incredible. On the outside, the car has a traditional coupe body style, but with a more angular twist. It’s not remotely boxy like many executive cars end up being. As it’s on the smaller side of things for this class, the subcompact design makes for a really athletic-looking vehicle that still has an air of maturity about it. The interior of any Mercedes is a big selling point, and this coupe doesn’t disappoint. There are no cheap plastics to be found, and the car is filled with robust materials and leather seats. The dashboard is full of state-of-the-art tech, but the cabin still manages to be a classy affair - any futuristic features are implemented subtly. If you decide to sell your CLA on down the line, you'll be able to get a reasonable price back on this fantastic car - as Mercedes is such a desirable brand.
