One of the smaller stallions from the Prancing Horse's stable, it's easy to drive and use on a daily basis, but never fails to delight.
Released in 1999, the 360 was incredibly successful and popular (among people who could afford it) throughout its production life, which ended in 2005. It was available in coupe and cabriolet versions, known as the Modena and Spider versions respectively. There were also some incredible special edition models that pushed the limit even further, the Challenge Stradale being the only road legal one. Pioneering an F1 style gearbox, the 360 was quite revolutionary.
The Ferrari looks like something sent from heaven- if God drove a car it would probably be this one. it's impossibly pretty from every angle and is sleek, sexy and stunning. While several colours are available, the 360 looks by far the best in classic red. There's no lack of class or quality inside either, and pristine is probably the best way to describe it. Adorned with the best materials and finished in an impeccably high standard, it's comfortable to sit in and comes with a lot of kit. You buy this car to have fun, go fast and look good, that's it.
And go fast it does, with a massive V8 engine that delivers 400 horsepower. Perfectly poised at normal speeds, putting your foot down unleashes the true potential of the 360. The scream of the engine, the sheer acceleration and the immense feel through the steering wheel assault your senses in a wonderfully dramatic way. It handles superbly and is as perfectly balanced as an F1 car thanks to some clever engineering and grand prix technology. Burly brakes and chunky tyres mean going round a corner is like Christmas come early.
Mere mortals could only dream of owning a Ferrari, but those with the funds found the 360 quite reasonably priced when it was new. These days, buying a second hand one drastically reduces the damage to your bank account and lets you enjoy the best of Italian motoring for less. Motors.co.uk is one of the best places to pick up a high quality used Ferrari 360 for considerably less, and actually it'll turn out to be a real bargain.
Basically the Ferrari 360 is a magical car that takes you to a whole other world every time you climb in and fire it up. Stunningly beautiful, it's a real powerhouse of a sports car that doesn't hold back in terms of the overall driving experience. If you're in a position to buy a 2 seat sports car, you'll struggle to find something better than this!
