The Mercedes-Benz GLC-Class succeeded the GLK-Class in 2015 (which wasn't available in the UK). It shares the same platform and many of the same components as the C-Class, sitting above the GLA and GLB but below the GLE. Mercedes-Benz continues to upgrade the design, with the model now in its second generation.
Second Generation (2022-present)
The new GLC had the same design as the C-Class with its swept headlights and angular side. The front bumper was fitted with a broad grille that contained chrome and mesh supporting the three-pointed star.
Inside the cabin, the new GLC had more technology, including a large 12.3-inch instrument panel and an 11.9-inch touchscreen. These dual displays dominate the dashboard and add a visual delight for the occupants. With the OTA updates, streaming is available through the Online Music service.
First Generation (2015-2022)
When the GLC replaced the GLK, it featured more comfort and was better equipped for off-road travel. High-end materials, such as open-pore wood trim and Nappa leather, were added to the interior. Mercedes also added an optional panoramic glass roof for a roomier feel.
A 2019 facelift changed the front fascia design and gave it smaller LED headlights. Wheel designs were changed for both the 17- and 19-inch options. Voice command technology was added to the interior.
