If you're in the market for a car that is spacious enough for seven passengers and offers plenty of standard equipment, then a used Citroen C4 Grand Picasso is a great choice. There are many affordable examples in the used market, many of which will have modern features included. As a family MPV, it has a roomy cabin, and expandable boot space and is more than suitable for both family holidays and daily errands.
Citroen offered both petrol and diesel powerplants, with standard front-wheel drive and either a manual or an automatic gearbox.
PetrolWith the seven-seater design, the Citroen C4 Grand Picasso is among the most versatile vehicles on the road. The seating can be configured to hold passengers or it can be folded down for added boot space.
Interior spaceThe Citroen C4 Grand Picasso was released in 2006 to replace the Xsara Picasso. It shared the same platform with the C4 Picasso. In the second generation, released in 2013, Citroen changed the name to the Grand C4 Picasso. In 2018, Citroen decided to rename it once again, to the Grand C4 SpaceTourer, making it a brand-new model, so the only options available today are on the used market.
Both the C4 Grand Picasso and the smaller C4 Picasso were redesigned in 2013 for a new generation. A gap was created between the front bumper and the bonnet so that two chrome slats could be installed. LED daytime running lights were also added. A digital instrument panel was added to the dashboard, along with an updated infotainment system.
With a 2016 update, the Grand C4 Picasso earned better efficiency ratings and offered a smoother drive. Safety and tech features were also revised to ensure that the MPV remained up to date.

The C4 Grand Picasso was released to offer more seating and interior room than the smaller C4 Picasso. A third row of seats was added and the cargo area provided a lot of space. While the base model offered good value, higher specs were available to anyone looking for an upmarket feel.
The panoramic windscreen combined with the open cabin ensured plenty of visibility and an airy environment.

The 1.6-litre HDi diesel engine has proven the most popular with drivers, with the impressive fuel economy being the main selling point.
Popular trim levels are the VTR+, which features a CD player, cloth upholstery, air conditioning and cruise control, and the Exclusive+ with its heated front screen, in-car entertainment system and lumbar support. With the Airdream, expect some added features, such as steering wheel controls and chilled centre console storage.
Through the years, there were a lot of styling upgrades that made the Citroen C4 Grand Picasso look unique. Customers should look out for the various wheel designs and colours to find their preferred look. There are also some upgraded safety features, such as parking sensors, that enhance the drive.
As an MPV with three rows of seats, there are few models as practical as the C4 Grand Picasso. The cabin is customisable, allowing for some of the seats to be folded down when they aren't in use to add more boot room.
Citroen didn't produce a hybrid C4 Grand Picasso. The model was discontinued in 2018 when it became the Grand C4 SpaceTourer. Used models are available with either petrol or diesel powerplants.
There are options for a manual or an automatic gearbox in used C4 Grand Picasso models. However, it's much easier to find this used MPV with the automatic variant.
As with most MPVs, the Citroen C4 Grand Picasso only comes with front-wheel drive. Four-wheel drive isn't really needed for most scenarios, and the front-wheel drive platform ensures better fuel efficiency, which is important to busy families.
