Used Honda CR-V

The Honda CR-V is a UK built 4x4, which remains popular in its class. Although most UK motorists would name Land Rover as the most patriotic choice of 4x4, this is also an established British-made motor with an excellent pedigree. Look for great used deals on Honda CR-Vs at Motors.co.uk.

Honda has excelled at producing attractive road vehicles since 1959, and the Japanese cooperation is the world’s largest manufacturer of motorcycles. Its status as a car giant is growing by the year and they are well-known for producing ground-breaking, reliable and powerful engines.

The CR-V is particularly geared towards families, and you can imagine it handling the school run with no problem. It would also make a great choice as a car to take the whole family on holiday, as long as you don’t plan on driving off road. This is because the chassis and suspension are better suited to normal road driving.

That said, the car is known as being a great all-rounder with plenty of interior room. There’s lots of adaptable space in the cabin and boot, split-folding rear seats slide and the big load bay has a double floor for more flexibility. It has proven to be a safe vehicle, and is cheap enough not to break the bank.

There have been a few iterations of the Honda CR-V over the years, but the third-generation models from 2007 offer more frills than the older ones. This includes a 2.4L 4-cylinder engine on the standard petrol model and 2.2L on the diesel. Honda also offers an integrated navigation option on the EX-L which features voice-activated radio, six-disc CD changer and an auxiliary input jack for other audio options. A 2010 facelift for the vehicle has introduced newly-designed chrome grilles and wider armrests.

If you’re in the market for a fantastic British made 4x4 that won’t necessarily clean out your finances, it’s worth looking at a well-respected used Honda CR-V.
