If you're in the market for a car that's designed to hold up to eight people and carry plenty of cargo, then a used Nissan Elgrand is a great choice. Only available as an aftermarket import to the UK, the Elgrand can only be found at specialised dealers and through the used car market.
The Nissan Elgrand has been available with petrol and diesel engines, an automatic transmission, and the option of rear, front or all-wheel drive.

Interior spaceWhile there were a couple of model years with a diesel engine, these don't seem to get imported to the UK very often. Instead, drivers prefer the petrol options, especially the 166bhp 2.5-litre, with many to choose from on the used market.
The main trim levels have been the V, VG, Highway Star, X and XL. Even the base level V has been popular with its cloth seats, Xenon headlamps, electric-powered side doors and keyless entry. However, the Highway Star seems to be the most popular in the UK with its leather interior and radar cruise control.
Customers should look out for full-leather trimming, a dual sunroof and an eight-speaker stereo. There's also an optional nine-speaker Bose sound system available and a DVD player, but the TV doesn't operate in the UK, so this is something to consider.
With customised cabins that hold up to eight passengers, this people carrier is among the top choices for families of all sizes. The rear seats slide and fold, creating more room when needed. The high-tech features also make longer drives more enjoyable.
Nissan hasn't made a hybrid variant of the Elgrand yet, but it may in the future. For now, the majority of Elgrand models have a petrol engine, but there are a few diesel models that can be found.
All Elgrand people carriers come standard with an automatic transmission. There wasn't a manual gearbox option offered with this Nissan model.
Yes, all-wheel drive is available when added traction is required. Aside from that, there are Elgrand models with either rear-wheel drive (through 2010) or with front-wheel drive (after 2010).
