Since its launch in 2005, the Porsche Cayman has been one of the most popular rear-wheel drives by the prestigious German car manufacturer. With both an impressive interior and exterior, the two-seater mid-engine sports car offers a sublime driving experience with engine sizes ranging from 2.7 to 3.4 litres . Both the Cayman and Cayman T reach 62mph in 5.3 seconds and boast a top speed of 170mph, while the Cayman S covers 0-62mph in 4.9 seconds . Meanwhile, the 718 series cuts acceleration time down to just 4. 2 seconds.

Used Porsche Cayman information
Used Porsche Cayman FAQ's
What's the difference between the Porsche Cayman and the Boxster?
As well as the immovable roof, the Porsche Cayman has a higher-output engine compared to that of the base Boxster. It also provides a little more luggage space, with a 410-litre boot capacity.
Is the Porsche Cayman safe to drive?
The Porsche Cayman is more of a GT than a racing car, making it comfortable to drive for hours on end. It's equipped with driver, passenger and side airbags as standard, and provides seat belt warnings, door ajar warnings, engine check warnings, traction control, brake assistance, side impact beams and front impact beams. It's also fitted with a vehicle stability control system, child safety locks and engine immobiliser.
Is the Porsche Cayman expensive to run?
The Cayman is a Porsche after all, so it's naturally not one of the most economical drives on the market. With the 2.7-litre engine, you can expect around 29.7mpg, while the 3.4-litre engine does an average of 26.7mpg. The latest engines are more economical, with the 2.9-litre capable of 30.1mpg and the 3.4-litre averaging 29.7mpg. As a result, the CO2 emissions and road tax are also slightly less with the newer trims - particularly if it's equipped with PDK. Expect to pay higher than average for car insurance though.
Where is the Porsche Cayman built?
Styled in its first iteration by Pinky Lai, the Porsche Cayman is manufactured in Finland by Valmet Automotive.
