Engines and transmissions
A used Renault Kadjar is available with a variety of powertrains. There are both petrol and diesel options, paired with a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic, along with two- or four-wheel drive. 4WD models are very rare on the used market, but they are out there.
Petrol
- 1.3-litre TCe engines produce either 138 or 157bhp, depending on the trim.
- Faster model has a 0-60mph time of 9.6 seconds.
- The 138bhp turbocharged petrol has a fuel economy rating of 44.8mpg.
Diesel
- 1.5-litre dCi engine makes 113bhp for a 0-60mph time of 11.3 seconds.
- More power can be found in the 1.7-litre engine that creates 147bhp.
Practicality
As a mid-size crossover SUV, the Renault Kadjar is more than suitable for town and city driving, but still provides ample interior room for the family.

Generations
The Kadjar was released in 2015 on the same mechanical platform as the Nissan Qashqai. While it only made it through one generation before being discontinued in 2022, a 2018 refresh added available LED lighting, a high-tech infotainment system and more connectivity, such as Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
