Used SEAT Leon cars for sale

Sharing many of the same components as other cars that are based on the Volkswagen Group A platform, SEAT Leons have been manufactured in Spain and Algeria since 1998. A compact hatchback car, the Leon has been through four generations, the most recent of which make use of the newer MQB platform. Two hatchbacks have been made, a three-door version as well as a five-door. In addition, five-door estates were made available in the UK from 2013 onwards. Although the three-door variant of the Leon was retired in 2018, there are many on the second-hand market in the UK to this day.

About the SEAT Leon

The first iteration of the Leon was made until 2005 when it was replaced by the award-winning Typ 1P, which shared many of the same attributes as a mark II Audi A3 and a Volkswagen Gold mark V. In 2008, a popular special edition of the mark II Leon was released in the UK, known as the Leon Cupra. It had extensive bodywork restyling, particularly around the bumpers. In 2013, the third generation of Leons came out. This was a shorter vehicle with a more angular bodywork appearance. It was also lighter than what had come before, helping to boost the car's fuel efficiency. The fourth generation of the car, the first to feature a plug-in hybrid engine option, was slated for release in 2020.

What can you expect to find in a SEAT Leon?

A SEAT Leon SE edition offers features such as:

With a higher specification SEAT Leon, such as the Xcellence, drivers can also expect:

Older SEAT Leons on the market will not always have these up-to-date features but many models of the third generation of the car have things like infotainment systems and ambient lighting to take advantage of.
