Skoda Superb generations

The Skoda Superb first arrived in 2002 as a stretched-out Octavia, but the model achieved a lot of success. Now in its fourth generation, Skoda has proven that an affordable car can also offer a lot of space and standard equipment. Its modern design and spacious interior continue to make it a viable contender in its segment.

Fourth Generation (2024 to Present)

Continuing with the cube design, the new Superb had a similar look to the Skoda Octavia, its smaller counterpart. Still, the longer-wheelbase Superb did have some styling differences, such as the sharper headlight design that had two LED blocks situated inside and special daytime running lights that worked with the indicator lights.

The cabin had an elegant design and features that weren't found in other budget-friendly cars. Skoda also released some new powertrain options, ensuring a good mix of performance and efficiency.

Third Generation (2015 to 2023)

Sharing a platform with the Volkswagen Golf and a number of other vehicles, the Superb was one of the largest models available. From the front, the wide grille with angular headlights were easy to see. There was also a second air intake added to the lower bumper for better cooling.

During a 2019 facelift, Skoda added full Matrix-LED headlights and an extended bumper for improved aerodynamics. There were also new tech features added, and there was more space in the boot and cabin.

Second Generation (2008 to 2015)

With the release of a new generation, Skoda used the Passat wheelbase, but the styling was completely different from before. Its twin-door boot opening was among the most talked about features, allowing for the opening of the luggage compartment without or with the back windscreen.

By 2013, the Superb was ready for a facelift. This included new adaptive bi-xenon headlights and upgraded LED daytime running lights. Engine options were also revised to ensure better efficiency and reduced CO2 emissions.
