Engines and transmissions

There are several powertrain options available with a used C4 Cactus, including both diesel and petrol engines, manual and automatic transmissions, and front-wheel drive.

Petrol

1.2-litre PureTech 110 includes start/stop technology and generates 108bhp with a fuel economy of up to 62mpg.
Higher-powered PureTech 130 option was available with an output of 129bhp but a lower fuel economy of up to 49.9mpg.
Older PureTech 75 and PureTech 82 models were available, producing 73bhp and 80bhp respectively.
These variants achieved a fuel economy of up to 65mpg.

Diesel

1.5-litre BlueHDi engines create either 97bhp or 118bhp.
97bhp model with start/stop technology generates up to 78mpg with CO2 emissions at around 94g/km.
118bhp model offers a lower, but still reasonable, fuel economy of 58.2mpg and 127g/km of CO2 emissions.
Older 1.5-litre BlueHDi models output 98bhp and generate up to 83mpg.
1.6-litre e-HDi model was also available that output 90bhp and offered a fuel economy of 80mpg.

Practicality

Considering the size of the C4 Cactus, it's remarkably practical and comes filled with top-tier tech features.

Interior space

Front seat bench design offered in the automatic models.
Seats contain extra-dense foam for plenty of support and comfort.
Two adults fit comfortably in the outer rear seats, but the middle seat is best suited for a child.
Pop-out rear windows offer ventilation for passengers.

Boot space

358-litre boot is similar to the Nissan Juke.
60:40 rear split seats fold down to create up to 1,170 litres of space.
Tethering points are included on the boot floor to secure cargo.

Safety

2014 Euro NCAP rating was four out of five stars.
Adult occupant rating is 82%, while the pedestrian rating is 80%.
Newer models have six airbags fitted as standard.

Technology

7.0-inch touchscreen display has a seamless, easy-to-understand design.
Connectivity provided through Bluetooth, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
Available Navigation and Hi-Fi Pack added a six-speaker stereo, an amplifier and a 16GB Jukebox for better sound.
